My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic
My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic is the fourth iteration of the My Little Pony franchise, centered around an animated series created by Lauren Faust. Disappointed in the quality of most shows based on toys for young girls, Faust set out to make a more broadly appealing and relatable show featuring more depth and character variety than the version of My Little Pony she’d grown up with.
The result was a show with likable characters, amusing dialog, and healthy messages of kindness. Its gentle, inclusive, and optimistic tone were quite refreshing and made the show a hit not just with young girls but older and male viewers as well.
Waifu Tier- ⓘ
- The best of the best. Only one character may be in this tier for a given work or medium. This character... is Mai Waifu.
Applejack
from My Little Pony: Friendship is MagicAs the Element of Honesty, Applejack is forthright, trustworthy, and reliable. She’s a hard worker who can be counted on to get things done and has no problem getting her hooves dirty. She’s more concerned with function than form, to the point of wanting to wear galoshes to a fancy gala in case of rain. She is sometimes stubborn and reluctant to accept help, but she’s also willing to set aside her pride and tends to put the needs of others above her own.

Harem Tier- ⓘ
- The characters who, while not quite waifu material, rise above the rest.
Rarity
from My Little Pony: Friendship is MagicRarity has a strong appreciation for beauty and wants to share it with everyone. As the Element of Generosity, she often gives of herself to help others - perhaps best seen when she makes dresses for all her friends.
She’s a driven and self-reliant entrepreneur who works hard to expand her fashion boutique business. Her resourcefulness and independence are put to the test when she is captured by fearsome Diamond Dogs and she manages to stay in control and escape unscathed.
