Animation
Because it’s decoupled from the constraints of real-world physics and biology, animation can provide characters who are impossible in real life. This allows for character designs, movements, and expressions that can be very effective at embodying archetypes and conveying supercharged emotion. Used well, this can lead to extremely compelling characters with whom it’s easy to feel a bond.
Each character below is the waifu of her listed animation. But there can only be one true Animation Waifu. The other waifus are only Harem Tier on the overall Animation level.

Applejack
from My Little Pony: Friendship is MagicAs the Element of Honesty, Applejack is forthright, trustworthy, and reliable. She’s a hard worker who can be counted on to get things done and has no problem getting her hooves dirty. She’s more concerned with function than form, to the point of wanting to wear galoshes to a fancy gala in case of rain. She is sometimes stubborn and reluctant to accept help, but she’s also willing to set aside her pride and tends to put the needs of others above her own.

Harem Tier- ⓘ
- The characters who, while not quite waifu material, rise above the rest.

Anna
from Disney Animated CanonAnna is a Disney Princess and one of the protagonists from Frozen. It’s obvious right away that she’s a cute spunky redhead and a bit of rebellious (or at least, free-spirited and idealistic) princess, but she’s more than that.
Anna never stops trying to reconnect with her sister Elsa, and when Elsa flees to the mountains, Anna doesn’t hesitate before undertaking a dangerous journey to find her. Anna’s refusal to give up on her sister is what ultimately saves both Elsa and the kingdom.
She also represents a turning point for Disney, acknowledging the flaws in their traditional focus on the power of love and reinventing it for a new era. She thinks she’s fallen in love with Hans, but he’s not what he appears - and it’s instead her selfless love for her sister Elsa that saves her.
